CAR MUSIC PROJECT

Car Music Project performs original compositions on instruments made from the parts of a 1982 Honda Accord.

C.M.P. was founded by Emmy Award-winning composer Bill Milbrodt, and has performed at various music and arts festivals including Lincoln Center Out Of Doors, Philly Fringe Festival,  Shore Institute for Comtemporary Arts “Sculpt” Festival, Bethlehem Musikfest, and Trenton Avant-Garde Festival

In this video, filmed for television in 2009, Eric Haltmeier performs on the ‘Tenor Convertible’--a hybrid instrument made from the tubular parts of the car fused with a tenor saxophone neck and mouthpiece.  Eric also performs on the Alto Convertible and on two different "tubeflutes" made from the trailing arms of the car.
